Winter heat wave in California! It’s time to think about fire season…

Image: Extreme HeatA record breaking heat wave hit California this week, and although there have been waves of rain storms, the weather folks say we remain in severe drought conditions.  This week of high temperatures are a reminder of how dry and hot conditions can trigger brush and plants to respond.

With spring around the corner, many will be returning to their gardens.  It’s a great time to assess what you have growing and think about the “defensible space” around your home to be prepared for fire season.
