Disaster Recovery – Removing The Mask of Mystery

July 30th, 2014

CERT_ConferenceOn July 25, I was fortunate to be the Keynote/Plenary speaker at the 2014 CERT Community Preparedness Conference held in Cerritos, California.  My one-hour presentation was titled “Disaster Recovery – Removing The Mask of Mystery” and was extremely well received!

This event was hosted by the local Disaster Management Area Coordinator for Area E in Los Angeles County and the event attracted over 260 attendees from all over Southern California.  There were people from the County Office of Emergency Management, fire departments, businesses, Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT’s), and others.

The conference attendees enjoyed the presentation and were amazed to hear the details of what actually takes place after the first responders leave the scene.

I am pleased to be presenting again on August 19, 2014 in San Diego for the Association of Contingency Planners.

Register for the August 2014 ACP meeting today!
