The Disaster Distress Helpline (DDH) is the first national hotline dedicated to providing year-round disaster crisis counseling. This toll-free, multilingual, crisis support service is available 24/7 via telephone (1-800-985-5990) and SMS (text ‘TalkWithUs’ to 66746).

Project Hope Crisis Counseling Program
New York State Office of Mental Health has created the Project Hope Crisis Counseling Program to assist individuals, families, and groups impacted by the disaster caused by Hurricane Sandy. Project Hope offers free and confidential supportive counseling and public education services to Hurricane Sandy disaster survivors.

Recovering Emotionally – American Red Cross
