Designing for Disaster

June 25th, 2014

There are lots of articles written, TV and movies about natural disasters and disaster recovery, and now we can add a Museum Exhibition! It’s at The National Building Museum in Washington D.C. and the new exhibit called “Designing for Disaster” is on display now until August 2, 2015.

One goal of the exhibit is to help reduce the impact of natural disasters before they occur.  They describe the exhibit as “hopeful”, and focus on how simple design elements can made big changes. They have many interactive stations and examples of new research and engineering ideas.  It sounds like an exciting opportunity to encourage new innovations!

Visit the National Building Museum website for more about the new Designing for Disaster exhibit!
